LONDON RISE OPEN EDUCATION FORTNIGHT
Tuesday 10th March (10.00-12.00), Monday 16th March (1.00-3.00) and Tuesday 17th March (10.00-12.00)
We are a vibrant two-form entry primary school inviting school, trust and system leaders to a session focused on bespoke curriculum design and its implementation through precise pedagogy and clearly codified norms and habits. Our approach ensures strong outcomes for all pupils, particularly those who are disadvantaged. Serving a highly mobile and complex community, pupil mobility is well above the national average, with most pupils joining mid-phase and starting from low baselines. The school is located in an area of high deprivation, with continually changing cohort profiles. Underpinned by a strong, shared vision and relentless focus on improvement, KS2 outcomes in 2024–25 reached 80% combined (RWM) for all pupils and 67% for disadvantaged pupils.
We aim for attendees to receive:
- a shared understanding of high-quality provision, underpinned by an ambitious, well-sequenced curriculum, embedded norms and habits, and consistently strong instructional practice that secures high expectations for all pupils.
- insight into how teachers use ongoing classroom evidence to identify pupils’ starting points, strengths, and barriers to learning (particularly for pupils who are disadvantaged) supported by an enhanced, shared toolkit for teaching and a shared toolkit for learning.
- clear examples of how diagnostic assessment drives responsive teaching, enabling precise adaptation of learning sequences, targeted support, and secure progression towards end-of-Key Stage outcomes.
